Legendary Honda XR650R, this is a very clean, low-mileage, road-legal one, and has been babied. These bikes are super reliable, easy to work on, kickstart only (reliably starts first or second kick), plus they won the Baja 1000 seven times in a row! I bought it just over a year ago from a red seal motorcycle mechanic on Vancouver Island, just before I bought (less than 1,000km), he rebuilt the head, had everything machined, and put in a stage 2 hot cam so the bike rips. He also had the forks and shock serviced at Suspension Werx, and he replaced all the linkage bearings. The bike has a ton of upgrades that I've installed, which greatly improve performance and make it much more usable DS. such as a Cyclops Rally headlight with a Phenoix insert (was $700+), oversized radiators, trailtech radiator fan (won't overheat in traffic), Mishimoto silicone hose kit, 12oClockLabs second brake light, I installed a new OEM harness, new VSM Warness and battery (I'm good friends with Mark who owned VSM), Ricky Stator 200W dual output (bike is currently only using one leg so you could install heated grips, GPS, or more light), XR's only case guard+sprocket cover, XR's only speedo delete/front wheel spacers, Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ (rear is dakar casing) front is about 70% rear is 35%, UHD rear (never get a flat) and balance bead tube in the front, the gearing has been changed to 15/47 which is good for DS use (enough torque for offroad, and easily cruise at 120km/h, max speed I've gotten to is 160km/h), and Clarke 4.3 GAL clear tank (gives about 220-350km of range depending on riding and what jetting). Lastly, the bike comes with a really sweet rack and a set of new Nelson Rigg saddle bags (plus a snowboard/skateboard rack). Plus probably some other stuff I've forgotten. I've been very anal about taking care of the bike (it is my baby), oil changes every 1,000km with Honda GN4 oil/OEM filters, all carb lines were replaced just after I bought the bike, this week I just replaced all the wheel bearings/seals, installed new OEM front plastics (Very rare!!!), new front brake pads, new throttle cables/housing, and had the whole exhaust system ceramic coated by Kool Coat in langley. Several other things to note: the bike currently has a non-restricted tip, so it is quite loud (sounds good though), and has been re-jetted for it, so it produces some more power. If you prefer it to be a "legal" noise level, I have an HRC tip and the correct jet, which only takes about 10 minutes to swap and you only lose a slight bit of top-end power. Also included in the sale are a ton of spare OEM parts, such as hardware, carb bits, clutch case, new chain and sprockets (current one has 4,000-5,000km of life left), a stock tank (good condition), gaskets/seals, and a bunch off plastics I got from a friend that are scratched but could be polished. I am selling the bike either to get something more comfy for long-range multi-day camping trips that require a lot of highway (like a T7) or a truck. I'm no rush to sell it, as I've put around $12,000 to make it mechanically perfect, and a DS unicorn. Price is firm but am open to trades for other bikes/trucks (possibly with extra money on mine or your end. The bike is insured, and I am currently riding it, so the mileage will go up. Serious buyers are allowed to test ride it, but only if I have the cash in hand, and if you drop it, you are buying it. It is kick-start only with manual decomp and requires some practice and technique to figure out how to start it. Just to be clear, it is fully road legal, and I can go with the buyer to ICBC to transfer it. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
